On October 25th, 2008, the UAB Drakes (Yu Chang, Dan Mondy, Robert Cloud) and the UAB Hydras (Jeff Frees, Eric Frees, Patrick Butler) both delivered record-breaking performances at the regional ACM Programming Competition.
